0 3

Backstreet’s back in Western New York for the first time in years and one member of the boy band is calling his shot.

The Buffalo Bills are winning Super Bowl LVII.

Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys fired the crowd up at the Darien Lake Amphitheater on Sunday night when he told the crowd that he grew up watching the Bills. He followed that up with his Super Bowl prediction and asked fans in attendance to make sure it hit the internet.

“I’m a Buccaneers fan, but I also have the Buffalo Bills in my heart,” Carter told the Darien Lake crowd. “When I was a really little kid, I grew up watching the Buffalo Bills,” Carter told the crowd after admitting to being a Buccaneers fan. “So I’m going to make a prediction right now. Go ahead, put it in your phones. Save it right here and put it on the internet. Buffalo Bills are going to win the Super Bowl this year. I’m calling it. You heard it right here. Mark the date. The day before the Fourth of July. Nick Carter called it.”

Based on the response, it’s clear that Bills fans want it that way.

Carter’s prediction, albeit a crowd pleaser, is far from bold. Oddsmakers currently have the Bills as the favorite to win this year’s Super Bowl.

If Josh Allen and the Bills hoist the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year, they’ll be viewed as larger than life in Western New York.

The Backstreet Boys DNA World Tour was postponed for the past two years due to Covid-19. Their boy band had multiple top 10 hits throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
