Way too early score predictions for games 1-6

Clemson football is closer than you think.

It’s early July and that means college football is just around the corner.  Of course, “just around the corner” means different things to different people, but I’m going with it.

The Tigers early schedule is an interesting one, not only from an opponent point of view, but also how quickly the early season plays out on the calendar.

If you’ve been living under a rock, the Tigers open on Labor Day, Monday, September 5 in Atlanta against Georgia Tech and that’s the first of 3 Clemson football games in 12 days.

Yep.  A quarter of the regular season will be done in twelve days.

After those three openers the Tigers hit the meat of the conference schedule with games at Wake Forest, home against N.C. State and then back on the road for seemingly always tough on Clemson Boston College Eagles.

How will the Tigers fare in the first six games?  Will they still be in the playoff hunt and leave the frustrations of 2021 in the rearview?

What follows is one man’s best semi-educated guess and that man is often wrong. Don’t take it too seriously as I didn’t spend hours scouring the film and evaluating the three technique of the defensive linemen.  It’s simply my perception of what’s likely to happen sitting here in June/July.

There are injuries that will happen and transfers that will likely occur and happenings I can’t even imagine that will take place between now and game time(s).

That said, given what we know now, here’s how I see the final scores ending up in these 6 games.
